A closer look for renters
eufy X10 Pro Omni review: will the dock fit your rental?
The X10 Pro Omni is a cleaning system that occupies a place in your apartment. Decide whether that permanent station, its water routine and its connected controls belong in the room before comparing vacuum specifications.
We reviewed manufacturer documentation and Canadian product listings. We have not hands-on tested these products for this guide. Retailer links are ordinary links; we earn no commission from them.

The renter’s lens
Portability & ecosystem fit
- Pack, place & remove
- Robot plus substantial maintenance station: measure overhead tank access and surrounding clearance, not only the packed dimensions.
- Ecosystem fit
- eufy Clean setup requires permitted 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi. The manual documents Alexa and Google Assistant voice control; do not assume universal Matter support.
- Offline & shared use
- Do not equate basic local controls with all app functions. Evaluate account ownership and reconnection before relying on mapped routines.
- Complete ownership cost
- Dust bags, filters, brushes, mop pads and water handling remain recurring responsibilities. Check approved supplies and Canadian availability.
- At the next address
- Prepare and dry water parts as instructed, protect robot and station, reconnect appropriately and follow the new-home mapping procedure.
Documentation-based fit assessment, not a hands-on test or compatibility certification.
Review the station as a piece of furniture
A robot can disappear under a bed; its maintenance station usually cannot. In a compact rental, the station competes with shoe storage, a side table or an accessible route. Evaluate it with the robot undocking, the tanks being removed and the power lead connected. A footprint that fits on graph paper can still be awkward to use every week.
The relevant question is not whether this apartment is too small for an expensive robot. It is whether the amount of useful floor maintenance justifies giving this station a permanent, convenient location. A larger home can have unsuitable flooring, while a small uncluttered apartment may offer a good route. The physical arrangement comes first.
This is a documentation-based review, not a hands-on test. We have not measured cleaning, sound, runtime or reliability. Recommendations reflect the exact model’s documented functions and the rental constraints explained below.
Three measurements before checkout
Use the exact Canadian T2351 manual and current station diagram. Include width and depth, the route in front, and vertical access for tank maintenance. eufy’s product guidance specifies roughly 85 cm of height clearance for operation and maintenance. Treat the diagram and its current labels as authoritative rather than a retailer photograph with a shelf above the dock.
| Renter requirement | What to check |
|---|---|
| Station footprint | Measure the exact Canadian station diagram, not just the robot |
| Tank maintenance | Leave the stated overhead and surrounding clearances |
| Travel route | Keep an open, appropriate approach for docking |
| Floor surface | Check whether the finish and rug instructions permit mopping |
| Shared space | Keep doors, exits and household storage usable |
A cupboard whose doors must stay open can consume more useful room than the station itself. Do not plan to lift a heavy station out every time the robot needs to run; evaluate a supported stable position instead.
The app is part of the ownership arrangement
Room maps, permitted no-go zones and app settings are useful only when setup and access work for the household. eufy’s setup guidance requires a 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi connection; check whether the landlord permits personal connected equipment. A network with a sign-in portal or client restrictions should be investigated before the box arrives, rather than treated as an ordinary home router.
Decide who owns the eufy account, who may start a clean and which private rooms are excluded. Use supported household-sharing features where available rather than passing an owner password around. The manufacturer manual documents Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant voice control through the connected setup. That is not universal Matter compatibility or a promise that every room-specific command is available. Verify the exact integration and the action you need; basic household use should remain understandable without a complicated routine.
Mopping must suit the actual floor
The X10 combines vacuuming with rotating mop pads and a station that handles several maintenance operations. That is a different role from an offline dry-only robot. Check the flooring manufacturer’s instructions, the lease or building requirements where relevant, and the product’s own cleaning directions before introducing regular moisture.
Carpet detection and mop lifting are features, not a guarantee for every rug thickness or edge. Use appropriate supported zones and supervise the first routes. Protecting a delicate floor is more valuable than using every available function. If wet cleaning is unsuitable, consider whether you are buying and storing a large part of the system that you will deliberately leave unused.
Automation shifts maintenance rather than ending it
Before buying, rehearse the route from the station to where you will empty dirty water and refill the clean tank. Can you carry the tank safely without passing over belongings? Is there an appropriate place to clean the components according to the instructions? Tank access is a recurring task, so convenience here can matter more than a feature that is used only occasionally.
Price the exact dust bags, filters, brushes and mop pads available in Canada. Check which supplies are included and which cleaners are approved for the system; do not substitute a household liquid because it smells suitable. Treat marketing intervals for emptying or bag replacement as examples under stated conditions, not your household’s guaranteed maintenance schedule. We have not evaluated odour, pickup or mop cleaning.

Consider it if: you have a supported permanent station position, suitable floors and a household willing to maintain the system
Skip it if: you need a small hidden charging base or cannot confirm app setup on the available network
Robot and Omni Station; replacement dust bags, filters and mop pads add ongoing costs.

If the task is dry upkeep without a connected account, the offline-versus-connected robot comparison may save you buying the wrong kind of system. Do not upgrade simply because a station performs more tasks.
A moving plan and a keep-or-return routine
Record the model, replacement-part numbers and account owner with your moving checklist. Empty, clean and dry water-handling parts as the manual directs before transport. Protect the station and robot separately where appropriate. At the new address, establish a suitable dock location and follow the supported mapping and reconnection procedure; an old map should not be treated as a plan of a new home.
- Check dock access while the room is in its normal furnished state.
- Try tank handling before deciding the system is convenient.
- Confirm access for every household member who needs ordinary control.
- Inspect rug boundaries and forbidden areas during supervised runs.
- Reconsider the purchase if maintaining the station becomes the task you avoid.
